Lightweight, simple to use and very effective,
This is a great bit of kit which I bought to replace a Polar watch, HRM and footpod that I had had for a few years and, until the watch broke, was very comfortable using. I had avoided GPS based devices in the past because many were quite large/heavy and reports that they were unreliable in acquiring the satellites. It was therefore with some scepticism that I made the plunge into the world of GPS based devices and bought a Garmin Forerunner 210. However, I needn’t have been worried as the 210 does exactly what it says in the advertising material!
As soon as it arrived I charged it, which took a couple of hours, then took it on a run. The device picked up the HRM monitor straight away and acquired the satellites in about a minute.
On the run the display provided exactly the information I needed – how far I had run, at what pace I was running, how long for and my HR. The display is easy to read and toggling through the elapsed time, clock and HR views is easy.
On return I uploaded the information on the device to Garmin Connect which provided an extensive analysis of the run including plotting it on a map. I use the wed based version of Garmin Connect through Firefox (on a Linux based PC) which does not support the Garmin Connect plug-in, but manually uploading the file from the watch is easy.
Bottom-line – this is a light and easy to use device which should provide most club runners with just what they need. Highly recommended.

|So easy to use,
I have had mine since Xmas, USB charging is brilliant and easy to use
Being new to gps watches, I soon realised I had to completely switch it off between runs to avoid the battery going flat.
Simple to set up – perfect for me!

|How clever is this.,
WOW! Knock out. I used to use the old Timex one with the brick on your arm (which got on my bip).
This Garmin is great, easy to read on you work out, and great software to see your outing and record your progress.
Really great, delighted with it.
